Patrick Birtles

Clinical Supervisor | He/Him

Patrick predominantly works on the unceded lands of the Woiwurrung, Wurrundjeri and Bunurong peoples

Patrick (he/him) has been working in community services in the Homelessness and Alcohol and other Drug fields with youth and adult clients for approximately 13 years in both Queensland and Victoria.

Patrick works from a values informed basis of seeking to understand what is impacting upon someone's personal capacity and how he can support them in developing that to support them now and in the future to be able to manage life's ongoing challenges. He recognises that he will be a visitor in someone's life for a short period of time and wishes to increase their independent capacity accordingly. This is how he approaches working with participants and also professionals in varying capacities.

Patrick provides clinical supervision as part of an external contract for The Iceberg Foundation. Patrick has a Bachelor of Social Work and has just commenced a Masters in Public Policy and Leadership.

The Iceberg Foundation acknowledges the traditional custodians of the stolen land and waters on which we work, learn, live and operate. We pay our deepest respects to elders past, and present and their histories, lived experiences and the continuity of their peoples for the past 65,000 years on this unceded land.
