Amity is based on the unceded lands of the Woiwurrung, Wurrundjeri and Bunurong people.
Amity Mara (she/her) is a twice forcibly displaced transgender Eelam Tamil woman, who lives with AuDHD and physical disabilities.
She is an admitted lawyer of the NSW Supreme Court, and has over 10 years experience in the not-for-profit sector running support programs and winning law reform campaigns with her communities.
In her current role leading the LGBTQIA+ program at the Victorian Foundation for Survivors of Torture, Amity and her team walk alongside other LGBTQIA+ forcibly displaced people in their path to healing from torture, trauma, and displacement.
