Capacity Building Services

We’re here to support you and your community in building skills, knowledge, and resilience for lasting growth. Our approach is all about creating sustainable solutions that empower individuals, families, relationships, groups, and organisations. Through training, coaching, workshops, consulting, and student placements, we work alongside you to build confidence, capacity, and meaningful change.

Student Placements

As a multidisciplinary team, we offer Master of Counselling and Master of Social Work placements three times a year to students who are aligned with TIF values, mission and purpose as well as have prior transferable experience working with the communities we journey alongside. Social work students typically work as part of the Manaya Pride Program and Master of Counselling students typically work as part of our low cost counselling clinic. If you would like to apply for a placement with us, please use the button below to send us an email with:

  • your resume

  • a short letter and information about your placement from your university.

After our placements team looks over your application we will contact you.

Please check back in for new student placement opportunities.

Supervision and Consultation

As part of our commitment to supporting the professional and personal development of allied health professionals, we offer identity affirming supervision and consultation with a focus on decolonising mental health to counsellors, psychotherapists and social workers.

Supervision is essential to a clinician finding and accessing joy in the work, navigating the impacts of working within oppressive and racist systems and understanding how our own lived experience is essential to being an authentic clinician.

Our qualified supervisors and EMDR consultants are dedicated to providing you a space in which you can explore insight, your needs and invest in your and your participants' future.
