Jaime Brown
They/Them
Participant Support Team Member
Jaime supports people on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri-Woiworung and Boonwurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation.
Jaime (they/them) is a biracial, bisexual, bilingual third culture kid and veteran of the service industry, born in Hong Kong and raised between South Korea and mainland China. After 17 years working in hospitality venues from bistros to banquet halls, they're joining The Iceberg Foundation as a fresh face in the Participant Support Team.
Jaime prides themselves on their demonstrated ability to build rapport through their instincts for anticipating needs and adapting communication styles, and their understanding of intersectional and culturally responsive care. Helping to provide safe spaces and full bellies are causes close to Jaime's heart, and they've volunteered their time mobilising mutual aid via food drives and fundraising pop-up events.
When Jaime isn't at work, you'll find them scribbling stories, fiending at a gig, whipping up a full spread from their repertoire of Cantonese soul food, crafting with wood and clay, or diving into a body of water.
