Lauren Breen

Support Worker and Counsellor | She/Her/Hers

Lauren works on the unceded lands of the Woiwurrung, Wurrundjeri and Bunurong people.

She offer services in person at the Footscray site and online sessions via zoom.

Lauren works on Mondays 10am-6pm and Tuesdays 8:30am-4:30pm

Lauren is a queer therapist, with experience and specialisation in supporting people to navigate through psychosocial barriers to wellbeing. She supports people like you to find and embody your favourite self. 

 

Lauren is a genuine, authentic and compassionate counsellor who believes in your capacity and capabilities for growth and positive change. Lauren will work with you from a person-centred perspective which means that she will respect, honor and strive to understand your unique identity and lived experiences. Lauren is deeply passionate about creating spaces in which you can work towards feeling safe enough to explore your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and challenges without judgement and does this through her warm and collaborative approach. Lauren is passionate about supporting the queer community to work through traumatic experiences and walks alongside you to find healing and meaning.

Lauren is incredibly interested in supporting you to identify your inherent and unique strengths and to increase you self-awareness, motivations and confidence to reach the goals you have for your life. Lauren tailors her sessions and therapeutic work in a way that will work best with your situation and experiences as well as with you as a person.

Qualifications and Professional Associations 

  • Master of Counselling

  • Member of Australian Counselling Association (ACA)

  • Member of PACFA

Lauren's Fees

  • No cost sessions available to all LGBTIQAPSB+ Forcibly Displaced People

  • $100 concession fees for 50 minute sessions for people with a valid Healthcare Card

  • $130 for all other 50 minute sessions

Sessions with Lauren are not rebatable through Medicare
