Mish, a plural system, is neurospicy, non-binary and a queer human of colour. They serve as the inaugural chair of The Iceberg Foundation (TIF), bringing extensive experience as a psychotherapist, social worker, and leader committed to advancing mental health support for LGBTIQA+, BIPOC, and neurodivergent communities. Passionate about TIF’s mission, Mish leads through a lens of anti-oppressive and anti-colonial practices, ensuring that the foundation’s work addresses systemic barriers while fostering inclusive, affirming spaces for both the team and the communities it serves.
As a leader, Mish prioritises safety above all else, recognising it as the cornerstone of a healthy and effective team environment. They actively cultivate a culture of care and empowerment within TIF, ensuring that team members feel supported, valued, and equipped to deliver transformative services to participants.
Mish’s leadership is informed by their lived experience as a non-binary, neurodivergent, queer, and disabled social worker of colour, as well as their dedication to decolonising mental health care. Under their guidance, TIF has grown into a thriving organisation with a dynamic team working collaboratively to create impactful, community-centred programs.
