Takeo (they/them) is a psychologist from a Japanese immigrant background living and practicing on the unceded lands of Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people. Grounded in an intersectional, anti-colonial and liberation psychology approach, Takeo aims to provide culturally affirming, non-judgmental, and trauma-informed care.

With a deep appreciation for the wisdom, lived experiences, and resilience of every individual, Takeo strives to create a safe enough and empowering space for each participant they support at TIF. Takeo brings their experience in supporting adolescents and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds, as well as individuals within gender and sexual diverse communities, across both public and private mental health sectors.

With a focus on addressing a range of challenges associated with depression, anxiety, relationship, identity exploration, ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, attachment and trauma, and navigating life transitions, Takeo is dedicated to providing personalised and compassionate care tailored to each participant’s unique needs.

    • Master of Psychology

    • Trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy [ACT]

    • Trained in Dialetical Behavioural Therapy [DBT]

    • Clinical Psychology Registra

    • Registered with the AHPRA and APS

    • $240 for 50 minute individual session [Full Fee]

    • $220 for 50 minute individual session [Concession Card Holders]

    A minimum Medicare rebate of $98.95 is available per 50 minute session for 10 sessions per calendar year with a MHTP.

    Takeo can also work with participants through WorkCover, private health insurance, NDIS, and VocFAS.
